Murakami vs. PIXNIT
On October 27th we had our opening for Boston-based artist PIXNIT....we were up against some stiff competition: Murakami at MOCA.
I heard through the art grapevine that it was insanely crowded.
If you had gotten there at 5pm you probably got in. If you got there any later you waited in long Disneyland-style queues talking to everyone around you about how much you love Murakami.
I will be visiting that show very soon so that I can see the art...in fact, if you were there and missed Murakami, I assume you will be going there too at some point - which means you most likely didn't make it here either - so come on over!!
Art fans that would like Murakami would also like the PIXNIT show.
Murakami, PO + Ku Surrealism, (green)detail.
(the suite including "green" + 4 other colors, sold for $908,000 at auction in October 07)

PIXNIT. Quateration #1
PIXNIT is already getting requests for site-specific installations in Boston as well as commissions for large paintings (~60") bringing sums of up to $5000....the show at Gallery Revisited is featuring very accessible works ranging from 6" - 20" in size,
and from $85 to $1050.
**We can only imagine, as with many of the artists we have worked with, that their work will be appreciating in the rapid pace that the gallery world is running in right now.

In a way they are kindred spirits...Murakami had a show at Museum of Fine Arts, Boston - and PIXNIT is in negotiation for a Spring 08 exhibit at deCordova Museum, also in Boston.
Hope to see you soon,
Leora
