Related Reading - Process:
While I am working on these abstract pieces, I think of our relationship to the landscape, and our communication within it and with each other -- in the abstract.

I select a word while working on the piece, then location lists are selected from a vintage atlas that coincide with each letter of the word.
Then I calculate the Flight Paths from the first to the last locations on each list to create a visual drawing on the canvas.
The visual drawing is sewn on using embroidery floss.
