photographing giant beige paper 2/18 update

Photographing said poked paper may be the hardest thing I have ever done.
Photographing paintings is a total breeze....these paper and cloth beige pieces I have been doing are a whole different challenge.

I have to wait for the battery to recharge, but I don't think any of the full-scale photos meet my standards.
So, providing some ambient shots that are gorgeous may have to be the way to go.
I'm OK with it, as long as the feel, look, color and hint of what else may be there is showing in the photo.

At about 90" long and 36" wide...well, let's just say at least I made the work even though I knew it would be hard to photograph.
I read recently that many artists do not make art because they feel restricted by their studio or lack there-of.
What is just as important as the work is a good photograph. If that means being a bit more creative with the representation and it gets the message across about the work -- I say use the best most intriguing photo.

Would it be that we all could photograph our work in the gallery with the perfect lighting??
Well, let's see if this piece gets chosen for the show!!

Update Feb. 18th:
I am actually quite pleased with the results from the other day.

The piece is one of my facebook stream of consciousness lists created into a text-based collage:

lists

when
chaos
rears
heads
like
what
binds
time
with
lust
